WPSApp – Test and Improve Your WiFi Security

Your home or office WiFi network is the gateway to your digital life. But did you know that some networks can be vulnerable to unauthorized access because of outdated settings? WPSApp helps you check the security of your own network using the WPS protocol, so you can identify weaknesses and fix them before anyone can take advantage.

WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) is a feature that allows devices to connect to a network using an 8-digit PIN instead of a traditional password. While it can be convenient, some routers come with default or predictable PINs and that’s where security risks begin.

WPSApp uses known default PINs and tested algorithms to safely check if your router might still have one of these vulnerabilities. This way, you can be informed about potential risks and take action to secure your connection.

The app also gives you useful tools beyond WPS checks. You can scan devices connected to your network, view stored WiFi passwords on your device (with the necessary permissions), calculate default keys for certain router models, and even analyze WiFi channel quality to optimize your signal.

Using WPSApp is simple. When you scan the networks around you, you’ll see three possible icons:

  • Red cross: The network is secure. WPS is disabled and no default key is known.
  • Question mark: WPS is enabled, but the PIN is unknown. You can test common PINs to check for vulnerability.
  • Green check: The network is likely vulnerable because WPS is enabled and the PIN is known or the password is already saved.

This color system makes it easy to understand your network’s status at a glance. For the most accurate results, some functions require special permissions or root access, especially on newer Android versions.

It’s important to note that not every network is vulnerable, and seeing a network marked as such does not guarantee that it is insecure. Many router manufacturers have released updates to fix these weaknesses. That’s why WPSApp is best used on your own network as a preventive tool.

If you find your network is vulnerable, the fix is simple: turn off WPS in your router’s settings and choose a strong, personalized password. This small step can protect your connection from unwanted access.

WPSApp fully complies with legal guidelines and is intended only for testing and improving your own network security. Unauthorized access to other people’s networks is illegal and punishable by law. The app’s purpose is education and protection, not intrusion.

From Android 6.0 (Marshmallow) onward, Google requires location permissions to scan WiFi networks. Some Samsung devices display encrypted password strings instead of readable ones, and LG devices running Android 7 (Nougat) may not support PIN connection due to system limitations.

If you have questions, feedback, or suggestions, you can contact the developer at wpsapp.app@gmail.com. The app exists thanks to the contributions of many experts and community members who are dedicated to improving WiFi security for everyone.

By using WPSApp, you take control of your network’s safety. Think of it as your personal security checker a tool to give you the knowledge and confidence to keep your digital world protected.
